Directions.

Heading north from Auckland. (about 1 hour):

• Follow State Highway 1 to Warkworth and turn right at the second set of lights. Go through the intersection and take Matakana Road on the left. Matakana Road is sign-posted “Goat Island, Leigh, Omaha, Matakana”.

• Clayden Road is the second turning on the left, approx 1km up Matakana Road (just past the 80km speed limit sign).

• Gifford Lodge is number 139 approx 1.4 kms along Clayden Road (the last 0.7kms is gravel road).

• There is a large sign at the gate.

Heading south from Bay of Islands. (about 2 hours)

• Follow State Highway 1 to Warkworth and turn left at the first set of lights. Go through the intersection and take Matakana Road on the left. Matakana Road is sign-posted “Goat Island, Leigh, Omaha, Matakana”.
