ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

"We do our utmost to respect and protect the environment and to support sustainability in our business. Our policies include recycling, using environmentally friendly products (and recycled products where possible), we have a native tree planting program, a pest eradication program, our organic waste goes into a worm farm or is composted, we are consistently working to reduce energy consumption and have adopted a “switch off” policy, we use energy efficient appliances (where possible), we collect rain water, we use bore water to water the gardens and our grey water irrigates our six acre stand of native bush. The Lodge is warm and sunny and well insulated to conserve heat in the winter and our brochures are printed on recycled paper using vegetable inks. Our drinking water goes through a double filter system working together with a powerful UV treatment system and we operate a self contained eco-waste water disposal system."

Edward & Robyn Isherwood.
